Did I mention?

This blog contains commentary on my life at college and at home. I have been recently including my pursuit for a better resident life here at my own school. This will be an ongoing theme among many posts intertwined with various other issues.

Explorer Meeting and stuff

School was same old , aside from an individual in EMT class had a Syncope ( fainting spell). He checked out ok and things move on.

Explorer meeting tonight. It was productive. DUI training. :) . Looks like we will be paintballing at some point soon.

EMT Exam tomorrow. I think I should do pretty well. I have studied my ass off. I currently have a 93.8% grade in the class.

Evening

While certain people are hanging out at a Party , I am home researching Yachts and looking at colleges. Is there something wrong with this? Some would say yes , I say no. My reason for that is due to the fact I know some people who do absoultely nothing with there days/evenings off. Which is fine. This is just a party I could have gone to. Ohwell.

Ross is chillin at EMS tonight, waiting for someone to be in need of transport. Transport is key; in order to obtain current and full EMS personnel at Easton you need 3 EMS calls with transport to Hospital. As of 7:30 he has 1.

Speaking of EMS I took the first exam and I was very nervous with it, but overall I think I did alright. I take the course very seriously, as it should be with everyone. You can't tell a patient that you scored a 57 on Airway management and thus can’t administer oxygen or something when you are OS (on scene).

The college search as of now is going well and I am on my way. Anyone would agree it isn't easy but it's got to get done.

This morning was a bit brisk. I found myself wearing pants, which is a big deal for me because it takes normally into October to wear pants regualry.

The start of school was a bit of a blur. I dont really remember 1st period (printmaking). But what can I say ? Its boring. Though as it always does, EMT class wakes me up and I am ready to learn. Its the one class where I feel the teacher is real, fun and practical. Its a refreshing change.

After school , I went to look at the 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Its nice, yes I know that type of vehicle used by maybe 40% of the barlow students , but I am paying for it, I want a 4x4 (not a large 1 though ) and its a nice blue and few miles. Bottom line , it works for me.

Got hw to do. Hmmm , Mr.Cox hw . Will it matter if it gets done ? Probably not, will I make an attempt to do it ? Yes .

It's funny , the last 5 minutes I have been thinking about people who were there for me and my family when my mother passed away. I dont know why I thought of it, I just did. The mind wanders , sometimes into places you havnt visited in many days or months or years.

Almost 2 years. Where has time gone ? ...

Were Jamming

--
Today overall was an excellent day. I learned I am getting a 2001 Jeep Cherokee this or next month. My grandparents of whom I live with , are going to Jamaica 1st week of October , meaning a house to myself for 5 nights. Sorry, no parties.

Plans to Sweden have been finalized already. But on the topic of Sweden, my relatives ( 2nd cousins ) will be living at my house for 2 weeks in November. I dont know if I am happy or sad about it. Considering I speak most of the swedish language , any language barriers will be non existant. 3 cousins may visit me at Barlow , or spend a day or 2 with me in school. 1 15 yr old Male , 1 17 Female , 1 19 yr old Female .

It should be interesting. Considering the savages at Barlow, they may need security. Guys STAY AWAY!

As I sit wondering if there is a quiz in EMT tomorrow and hoping that the quiz in madman goes ok, I listen to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville thinking I'm in some tropical paradise , sipping a daqurrie or having fun looking at yachts online and looking at real estate on william ravies.com . My how I want out of this daily routine.

This evening I have been thinking. I have been thinking a lot about the future. I came across a letter from my father explaining why he had gone and moved to northern NY state and why he had re marryed and most importantly tryed to apologize to me. He tryed to apologize about several things. I feared him for many years. As I am almost 18 , I fear nothing about him now. Its been 2 years since we last spoke. I havnt't a clue as to where he is in life and he hasn't with me. Maybe someday things can be patched up. I thought about calling him sometime. Then I think he doesnt deserve that phone call. Maybe after we all graduate HS maybe he will get a call. I just dont know.

As for college, I am seriously looking at Salve Regina in Newport RI , American University in DC , University of Virgina and CUNY - John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC. There are a few other schools in thought, I am just unsure as to what I plan to do. I am very excited for college and can't wait to get the hell out of here! I can definatly see myself living in the DC area nonetheless.

In terms of looking further past school. In all sincerity , a career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation would be excellent. A job at the state or federal level in terms of law Enforcement would be ideal. I definatly see family as being an important part of life. Who knows when and where.

Today I feel 100% reformed and changed. I couldnt be happier right now. Classes are fine. Socially all ok. Family good.

Good good good .

Note to self : Remember , this next fight.

Got golf this weekend. Church , tennis, it all good.

FYI : As for the indivdual who has been making things up about me and my actions. Go on and do it. But know that one day it will all come back to you , and hard.

School and Family matters ...

The first day of school is now over.
Getting to school was easy and great with Lindsay providing transport. In the afternoon she will also give me a ride home. I suppose it makes sense, she lives 2 houses away.

My 1st period class was horrible !! Printmaking. I am no artist and plan to drop this course like a hot potatoe. The teacher, Mrs.Nischal is nice but the course is horrid. My 2nd period class with Miss. Goodpaster is great , its the pre med EMT course. I cant wait to continue with it. Period 3 is math which is fine and 4 is health with this new teacher whom I am yet to make an opinon of. Period 5 and 6 are my study's which is nice. Period 7 is my madman course with Ms.Desmaris :) . Period 8 which I am yet to have, is English with Mr.Cox.

Overall my schedule is good, the only class I plan on dropping is my art class.

Thank god for the first day is done!

Now on the family matters at home :( ...

There is a saying , " All good things must come to an end . " such as summer. Though , who is to say my summer was all that good? I was unable to visit Australia this summmer. The farthest I travled this year has been Newport , RI . This summer the farthest is Port Jeff , LI . This summer also included working for Brian's fathers landscaping bussiness which provided some money weekly for me. It might not have been fun , but what teenage job work is fun ? Also , very possibly I stayed home more days then not this summer. In terms of Explorers, I worked the Carnival which was great fun. That must be the best of my summer '04.

Enough complaining though. Over all it was nice to be away from the daily grind of school etc.

As we look forward to one more year of Barlow , Henry Delangelo will no longer be Dean of Students but a guidance person, contruction may actually end and the cafeteria should be all done.

Overall, lets start this year on the right foot. Or me atleast.

1 more year people ...
