Did I mention?

This blog contains commentary on my life at college and at home. I have been recently including my pursuit for a better resident life here at my own school. This will be an ongoing theme among many posts intertwined with various other issues.

There are many ways to support our troops. All of our troops need to know we care and are 100% behind them; perhaps no certain location needs our support, recognition, and thanks , more than those who are fighting in the War on Terror.

This morning I went golfing. shot a 92 , 18 holes. Not a bad day for it aside from the heat. Thank God for the people on carts take drink and food orders all through out play.

After that I went home and my grandparents were suppose to go out all night but my grandfather due to his diabetes did not feel up to attending the event. I was soooo mad because it would have been a full night with out anyone here and I could relax and organize things and do what ever. So , I am a bit mad tonight due to that.

Maybe another night ...

THATS 1087 TO MANY FOR THE US.

Well today I made a very smart move on improving my quality of life. I purchased Vonage (VoIP) Part of the reason for purchasing this is because I will now have my own phone line and thus wont bother other people in the house when I get calls at 10:00pm . Also its simply a good deal considering all the great features it has included.

The Plan:
500 Anytime Minutes for Calls throughout the U.S. and Canada. Use your minutes anytime of day. No Contracts. No Hassles

Features Including:
Voicemail Caller ID with Name Call Waiting Call Forwarding 3-Way Calling Free In-Network Calling

The new phone number should be in- effect Monday.

Tomorrow the Cablevision guy is coming over to repair or tv's . Gotta love what they said to me on the phone " We will be at your residence between 8 am and 2pm. " ugg, meaning I have to stay here all day . Ohwell.

All else is alright. I am learning to enjoy life a bit more. As I have told several people , I have lately feel like my life is idle and I am waiting to get senior year over and move on in life. Cant wait! :)

Overall , school will be good to start none the less.

A little something I read ,

At least 33% of the people you approach will not be interested in you romantically. Don’t try to analyze why; there are just too many possibilities. Instead, increase your chances by approaching more women. The more chances you give yourself, the better the odds that you'll succeed.

Gives some hope to the single people out there.

Well , after about 24 hours of reflection , I have come to realize that what ever it is that I lost , isnt as big a deal as I thought it was. Much thought was placed into this and I have come to understand that its easy enough to move on. Surely I feel upset and disapointed. What was something I wanted is now something of the past , how quickly things change. This is the official "moving - on " from this person. Times have changed and I must now change with them. Its all to clear that I need to forget about the individual in that way. Friends, yea I think thats alright.

As far as anything else in life , I actually am looking forward to school. I need a better regiment then I have currently. Due to the un fortunate problems in reguards to Australia trip this year , it sort of shot my summer. My family is planning on going never the less sometime in Feb break . I will need the break. The trip will be the 1st break or pause in life from here since last summer in Bermuda for 2 weeks. I need a relaxing vaca away from my grandparents in a nice tropical or far off place. How sweet it sounds ...

I feel like I was just shot, I have no idea what happend and something hurts.

Though now that I reflect upon everything, I was wrong with every assumption I made. How could I be though ? Not once did I do something to extreme , I treaded lightly. Its not like there was much planning in this , I would take it as it came. What happend , happend. Either way , not this early , not now. The reality now. That I will deal with.

This is the end of the line for Caldwell ...

News of the week : (and my thoughts)
"A man who dive-bombed an Olympic final wearing a tutu and tights has been jailed for five months. The Canadian, who was advertising an online gaming site, was charged with trespassing and disturbing public order. he interloper screamed "I love you" before hurling himself off the springboard during the 3m synchronised men's diving event.
The 31-year-old managed to clamber over hoardings and scale the board before officials realised what was happening. "

- Ok people, if I understand correctly, and I think that I do , 1 Billion $ was spent on security on the games and a grown man in a tutu climbs over the things and climbs the ladder to the board which must take atleast 1 minute to complete all that and HE GETS AWAY WITH IT???? What is the security people thinking seeing a guy pass through the checkpoints outside the arena and saying " O yea guy in a tutu thats ok, keep the line moving. " ???? Ugg!

N.Y. police practice for convention protests
A mob of chanting "demonstrators" clashed with police Thursday in Brooklyn in a mock protest held to review arrest procedures ahead of the Republican National Convention. Its been said how police plan to deal with civil disobedience arrests and how authorities will escort a peaceful march.

Ok- Well I will be there so,,, we shall see what happens. I predict a peacefull march etc either way. Unless something really crazy goes on. As far as terroism I seriously doubt anything will happen during the convention.

After reading *******s awaymessage , I noticed he took a age calculator to see how long he would live projectedly. So I felt the need to see how long it said I would live. After putting in that I never smoked, have low blood pressure, my BMI is low , at the same time I had cardiovascular problems of a family member before the age of 55. I also have a number of diseases in the family , crippiling ones. Overall the age projector said I would live to 81 yrs of age. I guess thats not bad, though I got a Great Grandmother who is in perfect health mentally and physically at 100. :)

iMac ...

New G5 iMac is out. * Clapping and much rejoycing * .

Today I played golf at my Country Club , 18 holes , 93 . Not to bad. Not to good. Tee time was 9:00 am. It was a great day for a round of golf with the guys .

-

The 2nd part of my day was spent at Barnes and Nobles in Westport. As I scoured through the medical shelves I notice a lack of EMT text/reference books. I became very disapointed in my finding so I located the kiosk in the middle of the store. Luckily was able to get help. As he assisted me in the search of a few books. He ended up also finding nothing. The store disapoints me more and more lately. Ross though , found on there website , if you purchase more then 25$ of items free shipping and since we live in CT the package come overnight or so .

Good good good .

Also as far as the girl of which I have interest in , things are stable , things are positive.

A majority of Americans, according to a recent poll, call going into Iraq a mistake. Many Iraqis apparently failed to get the memo. Four years ago, Iraq's unemployment rate stood between 60 and 75 percent. With all the fighting with the insurgents in cities. Over 1,000 soldiers of the US have died for a war that the 9/11 commision said "We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States (emphasis added)." GOD DAMN seeing that makes me want to go over and shoot the damn insurgents and the cleric myself.

About connections between al Qaeda, terrorism and Saddam, the New York Times recently wrote: "Contacts between Iraqi intelligence agents and Osama bin Laden when he was in Sudan in the mid-1990s were part of a broad effort by Baghdad to work with organizations opposing the Saudi ruling family." Not to attack the US. God Bush is so confused or dumb, or both .

August 29th is the start of the R. Convention. There will be a protest also of which I plan on attending with Ross, maybe lindsay. Come Join , or atleast watch. Should be interesting. I will be filming for a documentary I will be making.

Other then that, my weekend is very quiet. Next week will be very busy. Everyday I will be occupied with either explorers, or church activ. or friends house or family trip. So I guess I will take what I can get in easy days.

I have been looking at colleges and have decided to not look at schools that dont offer study abroad programs to either England or Australia etc. I think that will be a great adventure to take and study abroad.

The other thing I am looking for is public transportation . I want to go to a school that offers a trolley, train , subway , taxi etc to get anywhere around town . That is very important.

My only other standard is that there is an on-campus EMS I could be affiliated with / join. Otherwise I would join the city local EMS.

Thats my thoughts on college as of now. Things keep on changing so who knows what ends up happening.

Today I had a very exciting day at Ikea I was waiting and waiting to go and finally the day came. I have been only to the Ikea in Stockholm Sweden ( the original store). I dropped about $550.00. I purchased a desk and chair. I also bought a bunch of accessories such as , frames and posters and a pillow and pet things. I spent 3 hours in there and even got me a employee to show me the store and get me things when I wanted. It was great. Will be going back in a few weeks.

Bush's radio address today : "Good morning. My most solemn duty as President is to protect our country, and in the three years since our country was attacked, we have taken important steps to overcome terrorist threats to this nation.e have pursued terrorists across the world, destroying their leadership and denying them sanctuaries. We are working with other governments to break up terror cells and stop planned attacks, on virtually every continent. We've created a new Department of Homeland Security......... " , BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Though later in the address what struck me in taking a 2nd look was this , "... our country is safer than it was on September the 11th, 2001. "

Ofcourse our contry is safer then the day of 9/11. Any place is safer the NYC , DC that day. How stupid is that sentence. No matter what he meant, its a very un-intelligent sentence. On 9/11 we were attacked , out fireman and police and ems were the first soldiers into the war on terroism. NYC and DC were the front lines as far as I see it. Someone explain to me then how a place is not safer then NYC and DC on 9/11/01 ??
------
Cheney in July '04 at a rally in Arizona , speech ,

" Now, as you might have heard, there was a political gathering in Boston this week. THE VICE PRESIDENT: It's now official -- I have an opponent. (Laughter.) No, really, I have an opponent. People keep telling me that Senator Edwards was picked for the job because of his good looks, his charm, his great hair. (Laughter.) I said, "How do you think I got the job?" (Laughter and applause.) "
Exactly how did he get the job ? Now I am not saying Edwards is 100% what we need but, come on!! Cheney is as well qualified as my cat for VP.
----------
I thought I would express my mind alittle on the crack squad of savy motivators and do'ers in the top of this country. If Bush means the ideals of the US , well I am moving to Australia . As far as polls go , the race overall is close. Though today Kerry had a 8% lead on Bush when it came to who the people trust more on national secuirty. What does that tell ya ?
Lets get Kerry in office and maybe we can focus on a few more things then just Terroism. Not to say terroism isnt a important issue , but lets apply some focus on medicare, education and enviroment.

I got to thinking what it would be like if life had a " rewind " or " pause " button. Would you know when to use it ?

If you were to pause time trying to keep and capture a cherrished unstained moment that you will spend the rest of your life to reclaim , is it worth it, is it reality? These are some of the questions I ask. Some say memories are just images of good and bad. Memories are not just that but a taste of what was. Its a sense of of imagery that provides good and bad emotions , sentiment and soul. Sure the times are gone , but is it not worth it to rekindle a time that may once have been the summit of your life?

Would you change anything that was bad or good? And if so , what would be changed. After reading thus far , you may be thinking , whats the point of this because its impossible to rewind or pause time. Well I say to that , its provides reflection , rumination, speculation and consideration.

I am not saying I would try to change the world but I would think twice on many actions of which I have taken. Ahh! But now I think that maybe what I want to change would cause more damage then good. The course of time etc would easily be off balance by changing the date I was born and my mom (med advacement reasons). Realistically I wish I could have changed the relationship with my father. I continue to think it was my fault that our reltionship is the way it is. Though I dont know exactly how I would start there, for that would alter my life so much for the good.

I have entertained the thought of being in specific places at certain times before something tragic occured.

This is just thoughts that have run through my head and I wanted to see them in writing. Ofcourse I can not do any of these things. Given what I would change I would probably try to apply the circumstance to the present time and deal with it from there.

Went out dinner , nice steak.

I have been thinking , if I dont take advantage of this window of oppurtunity with a specific girl. I think if I dont act soon on this I will never get a chance at her again in life. She is one of the people that come across in life that are far and few between. We shall see what happens. I am really hoping all goes well . Though if I dont act on this at all I will be missing out on a grear girl and oppurtunity.

I also have some horrible news. Australia has been pushed to Feb. break due to a surgery my grandfather has to have in mid-aug . I am sooo distrought about not going as soon as I had planned. The plus side is that my relatives who are still in school would be off, because its there summer. Its a mixed reaction, anger but at the same time I am still going soon enough.

Plans to ship this Dell back are underway and to buy iMac in Sept.

Next summer : Fiji .

The last night of Carnival 2004. Good night overall. Had Keller lot. One incident that was truely a mis-understanding that seems to be resolved. I thank the person who dealt with it.

One event, EMS took care of one med problem.

The car raffle. well Officer Mark Pastor and I were in the tent of it and were the officials to OK the ticket taken out of the big wheel. A guy who lives off my street won the car.

Overall I still think Thursday was the best night because I got to spend part of the night with a certain someone .

Thanks to all explorers for working. Great job out there
